“婦聯”簡介

       在七十年代已開始參與及推動婦女工作的前線婦女工作者，於一九九六年成立了「香港婦女發展聯會」，並於二零零零年獲稅局認可為慈善團體。本會現有團體會員二十二個，直屬社會服務機構三個，社會企業五個，會員人數超逾六萬人，服務地點分佈香港、九龍及新界各地，務求為更多的婦女提供支援及協助。於二零零七年五月，本會中文名稱正式改為「香港婦聯」。同時，本會已更新會徽。新會徽由兩個英文字母「W」連繫一起，代表婦女同心合力，為婦女及兒童的福祉、為國家的富強、為香港社會的繁榮、和諧，貢獻我們的力量。

Introduction

      A group of pioneers having a long-term commitment in women’s development, has established the “Hong Kong Women Development Association” (HKWDA) in 1996. In 2000, it was recognized by The Hong Kong Inland Revenue Department as an approved charitable institution. HKWDA has 22 organization members, 3 social services units, 5 social enterprises, with over 60,000 individual members. They distribute in Hong Kong Island, Kowloon and New Territories, which provide aids and support to women. In May 2007, HKWDA changed its Chinese name as 「香港婦聯」. At the same time, our logo is changed. It is combined with two English alphabet “W”, which symbolized women worked together and contributed their power for the welfare of women and children, for the wealthy and strong of our country and for the prosperity and harmony of Hong Kong.

• 促進婦女建立自信、自尊、自立、自強的意識；

• 關注婦女及兒童權益；

• 提高婦女質素；

• 協助婦女發展；

• 倡導婦女服務。
